Yuri Suzuki Features in the Design Museum's Virtual Tour of 'Electronic: From Kraftwerk to the Chemical Brothers’
The Design Museum has created a virtual tour of its popular ‘Electronic: From Kraftwerk to the Chemical Brothers’ exhibition, featuring an interview with Yuri Suzuki.
The exhibition features several of Yuri's sound pieces, including his OTOTO project (which was recently added to MoMA's permanent collection) and ‘The Visitor’, a drum machine created by Yuri and longterm collaborator Jeff Mills, as well as synths, samplers and drum machines from Yuri's personal collection.
Internationally acclaimed artists such as Jean-Michel Jarre, Shiva Feshareki, Alan Oldham and A Guy Called Gerald also feature in the virtual tour, alongside ground-breaking designers and visual artists such as Judas, Kate Moross, Pier Schneider and François Wunschel of 1024 Architecture, and Weirdcore; as well as co-curator of the exhibition Jean-Yves Leloup.
The virtual tour launched with a Facebook event and panel discussion about nightclub architecture.
