‘Why?’
An evening with Jon Marshall, Pentagram’s newest partner
Jon Marshall is an industrial designer.
He co-founded Map Project Office with Edward Barber and Jay Osgerby and has created connected products and experiences for the likes of IBM and Google.
He is also Pentagram’s newest partner.
And while Pentagram has always been a multidisciplinary studio, its recent legacy has been dominated by graphic design. So why has an industrial designer gone into partnership with a band of graphic and brand obsessives? And why – in a world increasingly dominated by screens and algorithms – does he seem to think that we’re in the midst of an industrial design renaissance?
This talk at Pentagram’s West London studio is your chance to find out.
