rɘ―inc Source Collection
Eddie Opara and team build on their brand identity for rɘ―inc with a new collection that encourages people to slow down, take a breath, pause and replenish their energy.
Pentagram’s Eddie Opara and team have collaborated on Source, a new collection from re―inc, the lifestyle brand co-founded by world champion US women's national soccer team members Tobin Heath, Christen Press and Megan Rapinoe and former member Meghan Klingenberg.
Launching towards the end of one (difficult!) year and looking forward to the next, the Source Collection is intended as a reminder to slow down, take a breath, pause and replenish one’s energy. This is reflected in the choice of items for the collection: a notebook to collect thoughts, postcards to send to friends and family, a warm blanket for staying in, a poster for the home or office, and hoodies, joggers, and other limited edition apparel for the cooler months. Seven percent from Source Lifestyle products will be donated to the Holistic Life Foundation.
The graphics build on the brand identity Opara and team previously created for rɘ―inc. Source is about finding one’s own source of energy and serenity, and the designers selected the visual metaphor of mountains, a solid foundation and the source of all rivers, to express the theme throughout the collection. The images appear in a vibrant abstract pattern of electric blues and purples, with typography set in the custom font La Nord Rɘ, designed by Raoul Gottschling with a distinctive reverse “ɘ.”
