Paula Scher contributes to "The Reckoning," a special issue and interactive feature on workplace sexual harassment in The New York Times Magazine, published with the December 17, 2017 edition. Scher‘s chart considers the mixed emotions of the #MeToo phenomenon, trying to make sense of the recent revelations about people we thought we knew.
“You can’t help making value judgments about these men against what you already know about them — their politics, for example, or their contributions to culture,” Scher writes in commentary for the piece. “I’ve tried to quantify it here. My chart sets down some absurd rules of behavior and forgiveness in beyond-absurd times.”
