Eddie Opara Designs Clock for 'The Correct Time' Exhibition
Eddie Opara designed this clock face for “The Correct Time,” an exhibition in its final hours at the Design Museum of Chicago. The show invited 24 artists and designers to explore what time might look like in the future.
“The Correct Time” builds on an artwork initiated in 1989 by Barbara Koenen that collects 720 donated broken clocks, one for every minute in 12 hours. (Because even a broken clock is right twice a day!)
Opara’s 5 AM clock combines digital abstraction and an analog face. Other participants include Erik Spiekermann, Adrian Shaughnessy, CW&T, Ruth Lin and Tanner Woodford.
