After three years as a Partner, Astrid Stavro is leaving Pentagram to set up her own design studio.
Astrid joined Pentagram from Atlas in 2018, and in her time at Pentagram has created brand identities for the corporate and culture sectors. These have included Acciona, the Stauffer Center for Strings, the National Ambulance Mental Health Group, Fedrigoni Fabriano Foundation, PPRO, Fasset, Maker Mile, OffLimits cereals, books about Magnum, Vitra, Fäviken, Philip Guston and René Redzepi as well as editorial supplements for Port magazine.
Stavro is leaving in order to focus more fully on the arts and culture work she is renowned for, as well as developing self-initiated projects such as the ongoing collaboration with the hydraulic tile manufacturer Huguet.
“I’ve found my time at Pentagram incredibly rewarding”, said Stavro. “I’ve been able to work alongside some very talented designers on a wonderful range of projects. I now want to focus fully on doing work that I love, as well as writing about design and teaching which I thoroughly enjoy.”
“Astrid’s work is always very beautiful and thought-provoking, and she brings a real proactive energy to everything she does” said Pentagram Partner Marina Willer. ”We admire her as a designer and we’ll continue to collaborate with her whenever possible.”
