New Work: ‘Art in Transit’
Angus Hyland has designed a new tote bag for Cass Art, part of his ongoing work for the London-based art supply chain. Hitting the shops as part of Cass Art’s Christmas promotion, the reusable bag is given as a free gift with every purchase over £30.
Hyland’s relationship with Cass Art began 2003, when he created their identity and packaging. Over the past five years Hyland has acted as a brand consultant, guiding the business’ identity through a period of rapid expansion. In 2007 Cass Art opened Cass Art Warehouse, an award-winning store designed by Hyland in collaboration with Pentagram architect William Russell.
Hyland is in the process of designing an illustrated activity pack with its own tote bag for Cass Art Kids, which is focused on promoting art supplies for children. Created with the illustrator Marion Deuchars, the promotional pack will be available in stores in early 2009.
